Country: Congo Brazaville
Alexandre Elenga was born in 1997 in Brazzaville, Congo. He lives and works in Persan in France.
Alexandre studied at the School of Design and Architecture of Camondo (Paris, France), and is a child of the street art movement. His work is a kaleidoscope of colors, and a journey through popular and R&B references that are symbols of emancipation and social success (Muhammad Ali, 2Pac, Kanye West, Eminem, etc.). Often, bright pinks, yellows and blues are superimposed upon, or mixed with skin colors to question the racial affiliations of the subjects and make his work resonate as a tool of social criticism.
He collaborates with clothing brands (Dawgz and Black Smoke Agency), and produces live-paintings at “Les Petites Gouttes” (Paris) as well as for the cultural webzine CIMER!
