As a child, Uyi drew comics and figurines, while during his early teens he learned to sculpt. In secondary school he operated a small art studio focusing mainly on sculpting and sign-writing. Graduating a year early from secondary school Uyi went on to study art. He was fascinated by broken forms, raw expressions and abstractions, and was inspired by the likes of Pablo Picasso, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Benin sculpting. After fleeing his native country Nigeria, Uyi managed to settle in Luxembourg in 2017. Uyi exhibits regularly in various EU countries and the UK.
